People think that lesbians are so desperate to have sex or whatever, that they'll hit on any person who doesn't have male reproductive organs. They think that lesbians are women who want to be men so much that they are out to take their women too!

Of course, as all we lesbians know, (yes, that includes yours truly) it isn't true most of the time. But a few stupid ones have caused the stereotype for the rest of us "normal" lesbians.

All I can say is stick close to the friends who understand and go out and have fun!

Hope I helped!

I saw several couples (lesbians) today and I just Don't want to see it, It's like they go out of their way to make it obvious. I'm not going out of my way to portray myself as straight and I'd appreciate the same level of RESPECT stop forcing it in peoples faces saying here take this/look a this or else your homo phobic / you really are homo yourself.

I walk through life as a person not as my sexual preference.

Get over it I will NEVER accept that as acceptable. Even if God didn't tell me so in his book, I have enough common sense to know a socket and a socket don't make an appliance work. You have to have a socket and a plug to get real electricity. That's the way it works. Period.

PS I'd like the rainbow BACK please, it's purity and innocent and promise have been distorted and sullied. It's a beautiful thing that should NOT be connected with SEX of any sort. Thank you.

Because most people have religious beliefs or were brought up taught 'homosexuality is a sin.' I'm Christian but I believe that Christians that look down on it should just love the sinner and hate the sin. Gays & lesbians are not going anywhere so people should learn to accept them. But it's lookin up alot better now than it was back in the days...If people can't accept you for who you truly are, you have no business hanging out with those kind of people anyways in my opinion.

In general, people have a difficult time accepting themselves. So accepting differences in other people is even more difficult. We just live in a world where people can't see passed the labels. The only thing you can do is be the best you. I tell people that if we approach one another with respect, humility and compassion the world would be such a better place.

probaly because many gay people shove their sexuality onto everyone...and some people don't care for that... I don't care to hear about ANYONE' S sex life..and it really gets annoying when my gay friends do stuff in front of me that should be done in private... lack of respect on their part...not discrimination or whatever the ACLU & all the "gay rights" people call it...
Keep it to themselves and maybe people won't be so offended by what they choice for a sexual life style...shoving it in their face won't make people like it anymore than it would if they kept it where it really belongs...out of sight...as NORMAL sexual relationships are..
I personally can't understand how a person of the same sex finds another one of the same sex sexually attractive...to me it is very twisted and they need some help for the reason(s) they don't want to be with the opposite sex...that's MY RIGHT to have....no one has the right to force what others think is twisted onto them..that's TOTAL intolerance in action ...which is very common place when it comes to gays...they whine about intolerance..yet they hate everyone who doesn't accept it as normal or right...

I don't think most people care who you choose to love, I think it matters more that you're a good person. I've known and have friends who are gay and like straight people they only hit on people that let them know they are available. I think maybe you are a little over sensitive about yourself and whether or not someone else accepts you....just be yourself and those that choose not to accept you ignore, that's their right but don't take it personally, that's your right.

First of all, if you are broadcasting it before you have established your social niche you are stupid. It brings out all the prejudices of the more ignorant. Once you have established yourself socially and in the work place just let it come out only to those who "need" to know and
those who are worth having as friends will always be your friends, male or female.

They are idiots flattering themselves. If every man who sees them isn't attracted to them, why would you be? Explain it to them that way. Tell them you have your ideal and they're NOT it.
Surround yourself with better people.
