Hmm .. unless it's really new, I've never heard of 'virtual' basic. Maybe "Visual" basic,

Virtual basic or Visual Basic. If it is visual basic. There is a lot of material on the net. For beginners you can refer to Visual Basic for Dummies.

not really a question, but i guess that the answer is that learning visual basic is a good idea. i took c++ and java in college, and later learned so VB. the best thing is probably to learn VBA, because it's widely used in microsoft office products (especially access and excel). writing solid macros and program interaction is a great skill.
