I think it depends on how she's built structurally, really. I think petite, or "shorter" girls, should be proportionate to their height, because when you're under five foot two, there is just no way to wear excess weight well, unless it all accumulates in the bosom and derriere creating the illusion of a miniature hourglass. =)
If a girl is taller than that, I think there isn't anything wrong with having some meat on their bones.
Really tall girls have the best opportunity to wear excess weight well, because there is so much more of them to draw the eye vertically. Then again, I also happen to personally like it when girls are rail thin. But they have to be able to wear that look well, and that's pretty hard to do without looking like you need to get to the Methadone clinic in a hurry... But I realize that look isn't for everyone, so I'm not going to press the issue...
Lastly, I have had the privilege of knowing some girls who were *ahem* "big for their age," who were quite attractive, and dressed themselves well. I think in their cases, however, it was more their confidence in themselves than anything that I admired.
I can't speculate about obesity, however, because I know that some people can't do much about their weight, due to thyroid problems, etc. and I'm really not trying to piss anyone off at the moment. Hehe.

Being that I'm a 6ft 3 & weigh like 215 I couldn't really see myself with a skinny girl & ideally guys wanna shorty that make other dudes be like "Damn". If she gotta lil' extra meat on her its still all good. Hell I can't front there are some big women that'll still get it (lol). My opinion tho would be between shapely & a lil' fat.

I hate skinny in girls. I prefer a girl who is shapely, or has a few extra pounds.

prefer woman to be happy with themselves that shines through anything. plus a heads up you want a girl who can walk. so if your soo big you cant walk then there is a problem unless your godforbid which is understandable.

i have asked many differnt guys that i work with and friends this question and for the most part they want someone comfortable with themselves and that is a little curvy - aka doesn't look like a twelve year old.
