I really dont know why you would do this.. If you want to do it.. go get sand from the beach.. dump it in the bottom of your pool.. and stir.. sand will go to the bottom, the salt will saturate your water..

Again.. why you would want this. i dont know

This is something you need to find out more about. Salt water is terribly corrosive, and all the fixtures, all the attachments, all the accessories, will have to be high grade chrome (that's another way of saying very expensive) or you will be replacing them every few weeks.
Several public swimming pools used to be salt water, but the changed over because of the corrosion problem -- and they had a bigger bankroll than you do!
If you want salt water for theraputic purposes, you can purchase compounds that mimic sea salt and add a handful to your bath water. But I'd really suggest you have a serious talk with a pool technician before you think about converting your swimming pool.

Don't get the mistaken notion that salt water is self sustaining. You add salt, of course. But you also must install a rather expensive device to convert the salt into chlorine. Chlorine generators are expensive to buy and install. They are not electrically efficient (the electricity they consume to generate chlorine costs more than the chlorine would if you just bought it.) They break down a LOT. Before you amortize their cost back in chlorine "savings" you are paying large repair bills. Please reconsider this business before making a final decision. Personally, you couldn't give me one of the things (and I could get one FREE!) Plus, you still must maintain the other water balance factors anyway. Salt is not a panacea.

Drain out the water 1st, than take a bucket to the ocean than back to your pool, than back to the ocean again until the pool is full. Plan on putting some cool fish in there while your at it??

PUT SALT IN IT! Or set a few french fries from Burger King in it and let them float. Eventually all the salt that these use even on a few fries will have your pool so salty, you won't believe it.

Get one of those salt licks they put out in the field for cows and throw it into the pool.
