It depends on the length of your cycles, and what day of your cycle you had sex...

A woman ovulates about 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before her *next* period. Sperm can live up to 3-5 days. And a woman is almost *never* fertile the first 5 days of her cycle.

So, if your period was 4 days long, and you had sex on day 5, you were *not* fertile and didn't get pregnant.

If your cycles are 24 days long, you probably ovulated between days 8 and 12. If you had sex on day 7 and you ovulated early (between days 8 and 10), you have a pretty good chance.

If your cycles are 30 days long, you almost certainly *cannot* get pregnant from sex the day after your period ends.

I hope this helps.

You *can* get pregnant any day during your cycle. It's even possible to get pregnant in the middle of your period, though unlikely. If you are trying to get pregnant you're best possible bet is to go to Walgreens or a similar store, I think they have them on Ebay too and get an Ovulation monitor. These things are expensive though and insurance doesn't cover them. I think the monitor is like $150 and the refill cartriges are like $50 for 30 of them. Your next best bet is to use an ovulation calculator. They are all over the net, but some are better than others, the more information you put into the equation the more acurate the answer will be. This is what I used when I was trying to get pregnant and it was dead on with my dates and my periods are very irregular. Try this one

Or do a search online.

You should notify your OB/Gyn you are planning to get pregnant so s/he can get you on prenatal vitamins or go to a drug store and you can buy them over the counter. Also, start getting some folic acid in your body (orange juice is a good source for this-it reduces the chances of birth defects). If after 6 months you are not pregnant you should go to your OB/Gyn so s/he can monitor why you may not be getting pregnant, though most physicians make you wait a year before doing anything about it.

Good Luck to you! Don't loose hope!

Yes, the morning-after pill will "still" work if you get it today, but I don't think you need it. Pregnancy doesn't stop a period in its tracks. It takes days and days for pregnancy even to occur. So whatever stopped your period in 2 days, it wasn't pregnancy. Anyone can have the occasional weird period. The morning-after pill is effective for 72 hours after intercourse, and home pregnancy tests don't start working until 14 days after intercourse. Not even a doctor could confirm pregnancy at this point. So the boychild who told you to confirm pregnancy first obviously has no clue about how morning-after pills, pregnancy tests, or even pregnancy work.

You can get pregnant any time during your cycle. it just depends on how fertile you and your significant other are. I got pregnant 2 days before my period. both of my sisters have gotten pregnant within a week after their period. and my mom got pregnant any time she had unprotected sex - she only wanted 6 kids and thats what she got.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner.
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout,even if its just a 30 minute walk a day,be active!!

If you are wondering how to get pregnant fast, then you have come to the right place because this article will discuss 5 things you absolutely must know if your desire is to conceive that dream child.

1. It is very important that both you and your partner get a medical check up to be certain that you are able to have children. This will be very reassuring for you and believe me, you will need this, especially if things don't happen as quick as you expect it to.

2. Make love as often as possible, especially right after your menstrual cycle and for the next 20 days after. (Even better still, make love every single day until your next period) You may be wondering why 20days? This is because that time frame would include the "fertile window" for most women.

The general thinking is that most women ovulate (release an egg) on day 14 but I can assure you that this is certainly not the case.

I recently got pregnant using the methods I am discussing with you here and it turns out when I went for my dating scan that I ovulated on the 8th day. Hard to believe isn't it? Well it is true. I have always had short menstrual cycles, lasting between 20 and 22 days.

So if want to know how to get pregnant fast and your menstrual cycles are shorter or longer than the so called average of 14 days, then you need to know precisely when you ovulate.

As a very general rule of the thumb just subtract 14 from the length of your menstrual cycle. So for example if your menstrual cycle is 24days in length then you are likely to ovulate on (24-14) day 10.

The most accurate method though is to use your cervical mucus (fluid), which tends to become stretchier, thinner and egg white in appearance when you are most fertile.

3. If you really want to get pregnant fast then it is important that you avoid all forms of lubrication: e.g. KY jelly and Vaseline. Research has shown that most store-bought lubricants damage the sperm.

There is a natural alternative and it is the egg white which is extremely sperm friendly.

4. Improve the quality and quantity of your cervical mucus. Apart from using it to predict your most fertile days, your cervical fluid also serves 2 important functions:

a) It provides nourishment, mobility and medium in which your partner's sperm can thrive and live.

b) It provides an alkaline medium, which protects the sperm from and otherwise acidic vagina.

So what are some of the things you can do to improve your cervical fluid? Make you sure eat foods high in Vitamin A, drink plenty of water and take plain robitussin.

5. If you really want to know how to get pregnant fast, then take a look at the medications you may be taking. Certain medications affect fertility and you need to be aware of them so that you can stop using them and look for alternatives that will not affect your chances of conception.

Example include anabolic steroids, Cimetidine used in treating ulcers, anti-hypertensive drugs (specifically calcium channel blockers) antidepressants just to mention a few.
