Are you sure your pets are cool, have adequate water and are not showing signs of heat stress?

And, are you drinking enough water (more than normal)? You are dehydrated before your body triggers thirst, so keep drinking water (no sodas, alcohol or iced tea/coffee).

I don't have any pets, but my grand daughter has many different ones. From dogs, rabbits, etc... Opa & I went to her house for lunch and to get out of the 112F heat and she had every one of her critters in the living room each it their own laundry basket! I was so proud of her (as always!) BUT thanks for the reminder.
BUT about the Iced Tea so much more refreshing than a glass of water!!!!!

It's not true that "You are dehydrated before your body triggers thirst".
That's simply false. Too many people believe urban legends just because they hear them frequently.

Drink when you're thirsty. Period.
