Need? If the question is a matter of need, the answer is, you don't. You do not need to lead a moral life, it isn't vital to your survival in the biological sense, is it?
I assume you mean, "Why are you obligated to live a moral life?" And there are two different ways to approach that. It tends to differ among people who have a kind of religious faith or belief, and those who do not.
Among those who do, it is usually in praise or obedience to their God. He asks or commands it, which is why they try to live a moral life.
Among those who do not, it is more to do (I think!) with a universal idea of right and wrong. We do as we like to be done by. A conscience is a thing unique to our species, and it is agreed upon we all, for some unknown reason, have one. You'll notice almost every single person has an idea of fair play, and those ideas are very common to almost all people. They are much more alike than not.
That is how I see it, anyway.

depends on what your definition of morals are. Morals can be viewed in a purely rational and scientific method of living a good life (utilitarianism). Here it's just better to live a life that will bring you pleasure and happiness rather than one that will bite you in the a** and kill you. Morals have traditionally been viewed as some magic code or law but we can say that they are the way to live your life to get the most benefit. We can wiegh the merits of traditional moral right and wrongs but ultimately must decide on our own values and view of the world rather than blindly following expired traditions.

I would say to be a contributor to society's needs. Having morals and core values will allow you to be helpful to society rather than hurtful.

Without morals or values, life with each other would be extremely chaotic and pointless. We would probably not value life itself at all.

Of course, the 'moral majority' is rarely moral. Morals are really your core values and beliefs about what is right and wrong. To live a moral life does not necessarily mean you have to live by other's morals. You need to find your own, too.

Because the immoral life has costs that I cannot afford. it costs money. it cost time , it costs energy, it costs distraction, it cots with lower grades and thus lower opportunity and lower income.
Drinking expensive booze at bars, whoring all night, going to class late with hangover, or missing class, or thinking about hot chick while in class, or not doing homework, or missing meals, hanging out with wrong people, all are some of the hidden costs of living an immoral life.
Students need to focus on their studies and learn while they are young and mind is sharp. there is plenty of time to be immoral later after you are rich.
