The female MUST be larger than the male. If the male is larger than the female, the babies might be too large for the female to bear, and she will die in childbirth. As long as you can find a female who's larger than your male, they'll be fine.

It should be possible as long as one is a male and the other is a female and providing that both are old enough to breed with. Be very careful of the term "dwarf". Dwarf rabbits in the rabbit breeder community are commonly associated with Netherland Dwarfs. However, many pet stores will often refer to any rabbit that is halfway small as being a dwarf. Often, the rabbit is not a Netherland Dwarf. I had one person on here tell me their pet store sold them a dwarf rabbit and when I saw the picture of the rabbit, I realized that it was a Dutch rabbit instead. You may want to have a local rabbit breeder look at your rabbits. You may have two completely different breeds. If you don't want to have mixed breed rabbits, then I suggest having a local rabbit breeder look at them to tell you what breeds they are.

Don't worry if the male is larger than the female. She should have the babies OK.

Why do you want to mate them, though? Unless these are pedigreed show rabbits, you don't really need to breed them. There are plenty of rabbits in shelters right now because people wanted to breed without any real reason or outlet for the up to 10 babies you could have.

This is overlooking the serious health risks. If you don't know what you're doing (and sometimes even if you do) the female and the whole litter could die. Also, breeding might alter your male's personality..meaning he'll start spraying and humping everything. Ew.

Don't breed your rabbit! There are plenty of rabbits who need homes already! It's people like you who don't know what they are doing that cause a pet over population problem.

I have bred alot of dwarf rabbits. This should not be a problem, providing that your dwarf rabbit is a true dwarf rabbit.
