They have cast Daniel Craig to play 007 it, but who is Daniel Craig? I have reviewed his movie listings and the best movie he has been in is "Munich" and I tried watching "Layer Cake," but fell asleep the 3 times I attempted to watch it, let's hope the studios made a wise decision.

Great answers, maybe the studio will see who we think is the best, I mean Timothy Dalton did not last long; Mr. Statham if you are out there and reading this, if they offer you the role please take it.

I agree. Jason Statham would have been fantastic in the role, but I think Hollywood considers him a B-list actor, and they wanted someone who was a "serious" dramatic actor for Bond.
Too bad. I have seen the trailer for Casino Royale and, although it looks as if the movie has great action scenes, all I could think about was that Bond is supposed to be very handsome and Mr. Craig is ugly. I'm sorry, but it's true. He has the face of a boxer who has been pounded mercilessly for years.
I wish Statham had been given a chance. He is handsome, looks intelligent, can definitely beat anyone to a pulp, and is able to emote tenderness when necessary. He can rescue me any day of the week!
I can't believe Brosnan was fired so we could get an ugly Bond.

Honestly, he has the moves (martial arts) backgorund and can play the suave part (i.e. Italian Job, Transporter), but Jason seems a bit rough around the edges. That may seem contradictory, but Bond is supposed to be smooth, both in style and in looks. Jason Statham is more of a rugged design that would not carry the bond legacy (look at the past bonds and then look at Jason).
Statham, in my opinion, would do better in roles that focus more on being the bada$$ than the suave secret agent.

I agree, Jason Statham is much more attractive. I can see him as James Bond, but you never know, Daniel Craig might do really well. Or maybe not... who knows...

I like Jason Statham, unfortunately, I don't think those who make these decisions believe he has the look to play James Bond.
I feel that with the proper hair apparatus he would make a superior Bond.

Jason Statham is a better actor, and much better looking. Craig doesn't really have the whole sex appeal of Bond thing going for him does he? I think he would have been a much wiser choice.
