You could be losing an erection for a number of reasons. Number one is psychological---if you don't really like the partner you're with, or if you're afraid and all you're thinking about is how well you're going to perform in his/her eyes, this can effect your sexual function. The brain has a direct effect on the penis. Number two, it could be your age--if you're over the age of 40, you're more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction, which is actually quite more common than most men would like to admit. A drug like Cialis or Viagra may be appropriate for you. There are many more reasons, but I'm willing to bet it's number one or two...and in either case, you should speak to your doctor, who is trained to deal with situations like yours.

Not loose, placid. If you can't keep an erection, the you need to go see a doctor about that. It could be some kind of erectile dysfunction and needs to taken care of. Other than that, I don't know.
