I have a Dell Inspirion 5150 - I left it on while running on the battery only and it shut itself down. I then plugged it in for 2 days and it won't power back on. I also popped out the battery and repopped it back in. Any thoughts as to how I can get it to power up?

I did unplug it and remove the battery and let it sit. The computer was running fine up until this point. Maybe a bad power adapter?

when you popped the battery out, did you also disconnect the power input at that time? let it sit about 10-20 minutes with no battery and not plugged in.
Failing that try pushing a paper-clip in the small hole on the right-hand side of your laptop, just forwards of the PC-Card slots.
This is a common location for the hard reset switch on many laptops (not sure if yours is in the same place)
