ACC? SEC? Big Ten? Big 12? Pac 10? Other? And why?

I would offer up SEC. Why? Because while another conference's #1 might be able to beat the SEC's #1, and so on, there are really strong teams all the way down to the #8 position. Heck, this year VANDY had a 5-6 record.

I'm not saying this to disparage other conferences. It's just that the SEC is deeper. Which makes it far harder for an SEC team to make it through the year undefeated.

Case in point? Miami. They had been mopping up the floor with the Big East for years. But when they get into the ACC, it suddenly got much harder. That's what shows what happens when you are in a conference with consistently tougher play.

The SEC without a doubt... but the Big 10 and the ACC aren't that far behind... The SEC has a few of the tops teams in the country in Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and LSU, they will all have a nice shot at the national championship game this year. Not to even mention Georgia, Tennessee, Bama, and SC, they are no slouches and can easily be in contention for the conference title. Collectively this group has to be the most potent in the nation.

This is too vague. If you mean better as far as caliber of teams, I gotta go with the ACC. It seems that every year there are a number of ACC teams in the top 10. If you mean better to watch, as far as most competitive (within division), I say the Big 10. The Big Ten has probably the most level playing field in the league. This means lots of great conference games unlike the 56-10 games in all the other conferences.

Big Ten. The SEC has a divider between the good teams so they have a joke of a season until the conference champ game

The Big 10 has the best team in Ohio State but best overall is the SEC. Tons of great teams in that conference.

Independently-the Irish
SEC, Big-10, and Big-12. As for the Pac-10, I'm not really sure what to think here. They HAD a good team, USC, how this team is predicted to be in a BCS game is beyond me. USC lost thecore of their championship years, last season.
GO IRISH!!!

The Big Ten, as usual, will be the best conference in the country this year.
