I recently saw the doctor and got put on provera to make me have my period. I have 1 day left of medication and have not had my persiod. What would happen if it never comes? I also found out I am anemic which is ironic because most people who are have their periods on a regular basis. What is wrong with me?

It is NOT unusual for very active women to completely stop their period!
I can't believe your doctor didn't tell you that.
Most female athletes stop theirs completely.
As do women in active military training....for months, even years at a time.
Active women can stop for several months then suddenly start back...and stop again.

It is nothing to worry about!

well this is a good question.. it happens to people when they are anorexic i know.. but if you do not start your period then i would go back to the doctor.. you have no other choice.. i hope he put you on vitamins for the anemic...cause that should make you feel run down.. but you say you are really very active...it is strange to be so i would just have to say go by the advice of your doctor...

According to the site below, you should have bleeding 3 to 7 days after you STOP taking Provera. You're fine. :)

Sometimes being anaemic may also cause u to miss ur periods. Anyway, its better to go for another visit to the doctor to clear things up. Good luck.

the human female body needs a few fat deposits on it to work properly and if you're close to zero body fat, your cycle's not gonna work
