on one of the episodes roseanne wears a shirt that looks like it has a chicken and some eggs on it.every scene someone else has the shirt on.it looked like a choir robe by the time it got to dj LOL does anyone know if it meant something,was it a joke? just curious

I've noticed it. It was "Daughters and Other Strangers" (episode 122) Apparently, it was goofing on Tom Arnold. From the link below:
Roseanne liked to wear a white t-shirt that had a large picture of an egg with a chicken.
Tom Arnold HATED this shirt so much shedid not wear it in any episode while they were married. After their divorce Roseanne used the t-shirt in every episode, she either wore it, took it out of the washing machine, had it in her laundry load or Jackie's, and in an episode about her unborn granchild even framed it on the wall as a giant painting! She even stops to look at it! It's a lot of fun to see where it would pop up.

I read somewhere that a fan sent it to Roseanne and she and the entire cast ended up wearing the shirt in one episode. That's what I read.

i have watched roseanne from day one and have seen every episode. i too wondered about the shirt. i thought it had something to do with the restaurant but they wore the shirt in way earlier episodes.

I saw her in an interview, and she said a fan sent in the shirt and she thought it was hideously ugly. And because everybody hated it, they made sure everybody in the cast had to wear it.
And after that, they tried to use it at least once in each episode, whether it was in the background or someone was wearing it...

ah the chicken shirt was an on going joke for an entire season somone wore the shirt in at least one sceen in each episode

Are you referring to her fast food job uniform that she held for a while in a few episodes? That had chickens on it, I think. Otherwise, I don't know.

It was a joke. Probably to see who would notice. I remember watching that episode and thinking to myself "What the hell?"

I don't know what it meant...but I have noticed a few other tops making the rounds on the reruns. I love that show.
