if it's a genetic pre-disposition to be straight. why can't the same standard apply to gay ppl?

You've made a valid point to a logical end with just one simple question.

Try telling that to the Breeder's, those who are hate-filled, that is. They won't (can't?) accept it. It seems that logic in some doesn't appear to be even a minor predisposition. Go figure.

EDIT: For zain15in (see below) --

Every point you made can be equally applied to heterosexual's, and most likely SHOULD be, since the vast majority of child sexual abuse cases are perpetrated by people such as yourself (assuming you are a heterosexual and not asexual).
Indeed, you posit good arguments against YOUR culture but not ours.

Additionally, most of your ilk argue that homosexuality is found nowhere else in the natural world. I'm quite certain the respondent who mentioned that homosexual pairings (not same-sex sex) in the animal kingdom (sans homosapiens) is merely a refute to that tired and baseless argument.

Regarding your comment that homosexuality is a deviation: I'm certain it is...for those of your ilk. My view about heterosexuality is that IT is a deviation. But, such as yours, it is only MY view and holds no great merit. We are two individuals. No more and no less. Well .... except that we, the GLBT community as a whole, have the upper hand in this argument and YOUR war against US is on the wane. Delude yourself no more. Accept reality, my good friend. Accept reality. As you've stated, we've been here for a very long time.

We're not leaving any time soon.

I don't know if I can top blueowlboy's scathing sarcastic remarks toward baseless and irrational homophobia, but I'll put in my two cents nevertheless:

For those who think that homosexuality is "unnatural," it is a well-documented scientific fact that approximately 450 animal species have been observed to have homosexual tendencies. Since this is true, it can be logically concluded that homosexuality is not a "crime against nature," so to speak.

Now, knowing this, how can anybody rationally make the claim that homosexuality arises from environmental factors and heterosexuality doesn't, because "heterosexuality is normal?"

And frankly, I can't believe that this is even an issue. Whether or not it's "normal" does not give the government the right to restrict homosexuals' civil liberties, and though citizens certainly have the freedom to discriminate as they choose, they should also not have the ability to vote to restrict somebody else's freedoms. Homosexuality and homosexual marriage do not infringe on anybody's rights, and two people of the same sex marrying would have the exact same implications as two people of the opposite sex marrying; same-sex marriage should be allowed, and people who are against it should be treated like what they are: bigots.

Edit (To zain15in): And here is one of those bigots that I was talking about! There is a difference between homosexuality and paedophilia, murder, rape, etc. The "tolerated" homosexual behavior of which you speak is between two consenting adults, and it neither harms nor infringes on the rights of any other, which is on what a free country should base its laws. You have the right to discriminate all you want, but you do not have the right to restrict homosexuals freedoms, just as racist and bigoted whites no longer have the right to segregate blacks.

If there were a paedophile arguing for his rights would you support? If someone "chose" to be serial killer would you tolerate that? Homosexual behaviour IS and will always be a deviation. The way we tolerate some crime, some murder, some other deviations in civic society we also tolerate homosexuality.

Arguing that even animals show homosexual traits does not go anywhere. Animals are into incest, big time is THAT ok? genetically or otherwise?
'
Homosexuality has existed ever since the human race started growing. So has homicide. Its vice, you can tolerate it in so called "free" societies but it does not mean that its right.

Now coming back to rights. Well give the paedophiles and serial killers and drug addicts their rights too... you are so liberal go on do it !!

All men, or most men, deviate now and then, from moral ,marriage, duty or sexuality. Some stay. Some settle in this deviation, some go back, some keep going back and forth . The ones who go on telling everybody about their slander are the real culprits. Like all bad things, even if you are ok with homosexuality, keep it under wraps. It helps others and we can fake nice things in the society like faithfullness, sincerety, ruth, et al.

Your question brings up a good point. The thing is that since Christians took over the world they have brainwashed people into believe the lies they created. You can tell I'm right by the answers most people gave to your question. Before Catholicism homosexuality was no big deal. It was seen in the First Nation culture(was uncommon but it still existed), the Greeks, and Romans just to name a few.

There is only one way that people are born to be: right handed.

Left handed people obviously choose to be that way. No proof of a genetic link has ever been shown, therefore Left-handed people CHOOSE to be left-handed. And proof that it comes from Satan is in the Latin word for left-handed: SINISTER.

And those statistics that say that 10% of the population is left-handed are just lying.

Why do they insist on using their left hands in public, too, shoving it down our throats?

...well, there was all that other BS, I thought I'd add to it.

That's true you can't be born gay or straight it's some factor that makes you attracted to either the opposite or the same sex. This factor actually helps you decided which sex you like and eventually which sexual orientation you prefer.

??? How do you know you have feeling with woman or man if you were a child? No one does know.

Just a simple advise God does not make gay people to be gay nor straight, He does create you perfect. And if in the future we are gay, it doesn't mean that you were born as a gay but the environment does make you to be gay. Believe me!!

Homosexuality...
Heterosexuality...
Bisexuality...

All of the above are 'LIFESTYLES'; they are not inherent within an individual,... THEY ARE CHOSEN.

The instinctive 'survival' drive of homo sapiens to 'mate and procreate' inclines most humans to 'choosing' heterosexuality, as this 'lifestyle' naturally insures the continuation of the species. However, as witnessed in other animal species, the strength of this survival instinct varies between individuals, hence the occasional aberrant behavior of a few to 'choose' a homosexual or bisexual path for other reasons; most likely for opportunistic sexual gratification.

It has nothing to do with genetics or being born one way or another, it's just what you prefer. You choose to be one way or the other, or your religion.

with as much as the gays, or suspected gays, go through in my town in Georgia and all the things that gays go through, they would be foolish to choose that lifestyle. I think it's who they are, wrong or right.
