Exactly. It depends on the situation and feeling inside.
As my own experience, Someone can have different answer of the same question just because they answered in different places (private and public). Nervous when speak in audience can make them clever or fool for answering the question. so, the person mind and its processing is the most important, I think.
Try to find something that they feel comfortable and love to do, that's the best way you can see them being smart.

Yes, of course! A lot of people think I'm kinda dumb because I’m freaking clumsy and yea to tell you the truth I like acting stupid. But my high school grades said something else, and now that I am in college they assigned me to the honors section, not because of my grades, because I don't believe grades are accurate most of the time when talking about someone’s intelligence, but after they interviewed me, they realized that I've got potential.

Absolutely, there are many very intelligent people that have trouble with the simplest things in an area where they are not smart. I have heard that Albert Einstein had trouble walking around the block without getting lost. And, some people just lack common sense.

I've seen some people who are quite intelligent make very poor decisions. Sometimes it has to do with a lack of experience or not having enough time to weigh options. Some people are very keen in one area and dull in others, we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

Yes, this happens most of the time to intelligent people who fall in love. They're intelligent in other aspects (especially in academics), but when it comes to love, the intelligence vanishes.

Yes, intelligence, being the measure of ones IQ, does not give one common sense.

most people have about the same amount of marbles, but they're
stacked differently. the more marbles you have in one pile, the less you have to go around for the other piles. in other words, if
you're really a genius at one thing, you will be a complete idiot at something else.
