If you want to do well in real estate, you need to understand the basics of finance and/or accounting. Having knowledge in those disciplines will help tune your business skills (crunching numbers). That does not guarantee a successful career but it does get you to 1st base, understanding business metrics. There are also Real Estate law classes you can take that will help you gain knowledge of the fiduciary duties of an agent. Then you need to have "soft skills" which are difficult to teach in a classroom setting. This is the most important of all and can be learned on the job.

I would look into majoring in Accounting or Finance, and doing a minor in Psychology (Social or Behavioral emphasis). This will give you the math and money skills you need to make smart business deals, while helping you learn how people think, so you can influence their decisions.
