Honestly, from studies it's not bad for you, but the truth is that it's a "gateway drug" and it's true. A gateway drug is a small minor drug such as pot and it leads you into trying harder drugs like cocaine, esctacy etc.
Though it may not be bad for you, it does harm you. If you smoke pot you're risking your grades at school, friends, family and it changes every aspect of your daily life.
The choice is yours to be drug free or not, but take what I said into account.

Different people deal with it in different ways, just like anything else in the world, drugs or not. You may enjoy the experience, or you may not. It may not do anything to you hardly at all, where other people get baked after just a couple hits. It also depends on the strength of the pot.
I'd say you should try it just one time, just to say you truly know what it's like firsthand. You won't get hooked, and a couple drags off a joint is not going to ruin your life.
Bottom line, it's your choice.

it is in Marooco with the older generation and other Arab and Asian countries.
in south Africa amongst younger people it is more normal than beer
in Holland it is normal amongst all the tourists,
But not much with the Dutch youth
in Canada it is normal with all of the people who have returned to the countryside
if you are at school leave it alone ,it destroys you motivation to study ,which is far more important at this stage
wait untill you are established and grown up before you even think about stimulants
and dont be swayed by peer presure,
a lot of nice people are not impressed with dopy youths
.
and it makes you less attractive to the people, who you need and want,to respect you

Define normal. Pot, Alcohol, Gymnastics, Zoroastrenism, Driving foreign cars, TV dinners, Republicanism,etc.etc.etc. and on and on. A lot of stuff is normal to a lot of people. Don't let anyone talk you into anything. I like pot, myself. You might not. Lots of people don't. Make up your own mind.

No, it's not. It is a mind-altering drug and yes one can get psychologically addicted to it even if physical addiction (like with cocaine and heroin) is impossible.
Wait until you are an adult to try even pot, same with alcohol or any other substance. A teenage brain is much too precious and is growing fast and is prone to permanent damage from substances if ingested.

i can tell you what to say to them. one, it is not normal to breath smoke. our lungs are not made for it, it causes cancer and other health problems, which makes it as normal as suicide. some people may say, it is natural, but you can say, some mushrooms are poisonous, and it is natural to die if one eats them. i have made a lot of potheads shut up. and one more thing, do not listen to the guy who says you try it just one time, you could get caught, and never again have the reputation that you want. let me put it this way, do you have to shoot yourself in the foot at least once to know you do not want to? he should think about what he is saying!

I'm glad you don't smoke it. I am a recovering addict who tried marijuana and though it was nothing. Actually, the drugs don't CAUSE addiction it's just very easy to become addicted to them. If someone chooses to do them regularly, they will become more likely to become addicted to them with each use. Once we cross the line into addiction, there is no way back.
