Are you taking any prescription medication, as this would have a major effect on your period? What about any illegal drugs? That as well will change the course of your period. Anything new at all this past month? New vitamins, new exercising program, diet pills???

I would certainly get a pregnancy test. You may not be pregnant, but for the $7 cost of a test, it's not worth worrying over for days and days, or even a whole month. It's not good for a developing baby to be exposed to the hormones in the pill, and it's certainly better to be safe. It is common for pregnant women to have light spotting where their normal period would have occured, and it is possible to become pregnant while on the pill. Other possible causes would include a change in your environment and stress. The pill tries to make your body follow one cycle, and sometimes your body doesn't agree. Think back about 2 weeks, were you under a great amount of stress? Perhaps exams? It's possible that this lighter period is the result of your body and the hormones in the pills not agreeing, and if that's the case, talk to your doctor about it, and expect to have spotting on and off until the hormones and your body get back on the 'same page' so to speak. (always keep light pads in the purse). I've always noticed that with a change in environment, my cycles change. This only happens with some women, but have you ever noticed that when you're around a woman a lot (perhaps a mother or step-mom, or a roommate?) you end up having a period at the same exact time that they do? If you've just moved in with a new roommate, or just moved into a place of your own, your cycle might have changed. I went through a time when my cycles didn't agree with the hormones in the pill and bled lightly for three months before quiting the pill... i doubt I'll ever take the pill again.

I have skipped a period on the pill (with 0% chance of pregnancy), if you are really worried, there are many stores that are open late that have pg tests. I would not stress it though, I hope you get the result you want!

The pills can really mess up your body after a while, you can go and get a test and see if you are pregs, but you may need to get off that pill and seek another type of contraceptive.. there are many to choose from out there today.. good luck to you...

For your own piece of mind I would get the pregnancy test. If you are pregnant you don't want to continue another month of birth control pills.....birth defect possibliliites. If you aren't pregnant discuss the problem with your Dr.

If your weight has fluctuated, the level of horome in your original pill may no longer be effective (too much or too little). Take a pregnancy test, and then visit your family doctor (or the one who prescribed the pill) to see what's going on.

have an appointment with your gyne about your case. Some pills really mess up your repro system. I also had the same problem this year. My mens stopped for 2 months and i thought i was pregnant.

I wouldn't worry about it right now. If it is still the same next month then I would check with my doctor and see what he thinks.
