Yes I've heard of the Marlins, and the White Sox and this year, the Tigers, the Reds and all the other small market clubs that are doing it with class.
BTW, no Yankee fan is gonna wind up with the 10 points, so you can stop with the 26 championships, they won most of em before Stienbrenner, Yankee pride, Yankee mystique, balh, blah, blah...

OK. Let's talk about some of the other 29 teams. Let's talk about what some of the other 29 teams have done to payrolls.
1) The KANSAS CITY ROYALS- They spend 46 mil on salaries. but none of the revenue sharing and luxury tax money. If they took that extra money and at the very least invested in the farm system (Like the Brewers) I'd respect them, but their farm system is the worst in the league. Just a couple of weeks ago in the draft their reached an all new low of stingy. Instead of taking the best Pitcher in the draft Andrew Miller, they take a rehash from last year who's been pitching Independent Ball. Why? Andrew Miller was too expensive. OF COURSE! HE HAS A BIG LEAGUE SLIDER NOW!
2)The PITTSBURGH PIRATES- A team that wined and complained about needing a new stadium to become competitive. They got it, and they draw. NOT ONE SIGNIFICANT FREE AGENT SIGNING SINCE THEY GOT THE NEW PARK.
3) The COLORADO ROCKIES- New to my list. While they do at least have some semblance of a farm system. They're spending 41 mil and need all the help they can get. So what do they do? The GM declares "We want a good Christian organization." What's wrong with that? Nothing, except that less than a week later in the draft they took a player worth pick 20 with pick 2 because the two best available players were offended because they're not Christians.
There's a luxury tax for the large market teams. THE YANKEES PAY IT! THERE SHOULD BE A TAX ON TEAMS THAT SPEND LESS THAN 60 MIL! But there isn't.
I'm all for a salary cap like the NFL. As long as there is a SALARY BASEMENT as well.
"Da Boss" may be guilty of driving up the payrolls. He's also guilty of being THE ONLY OWNER TO MAKE EVERY & ANY EFFORT TO WIN FOR 33 STRAIGHT YEARS. Oh how awful.
The real people ruining the game.The god awful owners in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Colorado and Cincinnati.

Yeah, there maybe 29 "Other" Teams, But only 1 count em only one in ANY!!!!!!! SPORT! Yep ANY SPORT has won 26 World Championships!!!
AND for all those Nay Sayers
Most of those Championships came before "Da Boss"
Yankee Fans love their team, because of Tradition! The Yankees stand for a lot of things. There are many Yankee fans that do not like "Da Boss" or what he does.

The Marlins beat the Yankees yesterday. Also, the Marlins payroll is 14 mil. The Yankees have 5 players making 14 mill or up.

I don't hate the boss, as a Detroit Tigers fan, it is proven that you don't have to spend tons of money to win. You just need to build a team that can play together the way the manager plans. The Yankees have not won since 2000, even though they have the largest payroll. Ever hear of the FLA Marlins?

Actually, you should make that 28 other teams, because the vast majority of baseball fans hate both the Yankees and the Red Sux, mainly due to ESPN ramming that rivalry down our throats every chance they get.

The Yanks now should just care about winning the division and to win New York. The Mets are better. The Red Sox and Blue Jays could win this division.
