It is parking, not driving track at beer bars. Theoretically, you may require parking there:

- to get packed beer take aways.
- for your chauffer driven car, so you drink and the chauffer stay in senses with car at parking.
- for accompanying companion parking car there but not drinking at bars.
- Leave the car there if you decide to drink and fetch it later on, inviting for repeat orders!!
- Showing scale of parking to the rest of the world including competitors, to exhibit how successful you bar is.

Because you are suppose to bring a designated driver with you/ your group. So the parking space is for the driver not exactly the drinker. Also, not everyone that goes to a bar drinks alcoholic beverages. Those that do not drink to get drunk, may need a parking space... there are some reasons for bars to have parking spaces for their customers.

To collect people from the pub. Many people don't drink. Lots of people go to pubs for food, not drink. The employees need to park. Provides access for emergency vehicles. The barman can see if a drunk preson is getting in a car and stop them. Can't be done if car parked 100 yeards round the corner.

It is allowed since its not compulsory all the staff running the bar drinks. Its against the law to drink and drive but as we all know it is allowed as far as the person does not go out of control...

I do not drink at all, but love to dance, and have fun. I love Karaoke. These things take place mostly in bars and clubs. You do not have to get drunk just because you drink.
