No it has nothing to do with your plugs...your spark plugs turning black is mostly to do with your gas burning rich.

In a round about way yes. The oxygen sensor tells the computer how much gas to add so if the sensor is bad it could cause the plugs to foul out. However it is very unlikely to happen as it should turn a light on if its gone bad.

A bad oxygen sensor could cause the engine to run rich. When the sensor is working properly it tells the computer if the engine is running too rich or lean. Has the o2 sensor been changed? I would change it if its been in the car for a lot of miles.

anything that can cause a rich condition could be causing the problem not excluding a biased oxygen sensor if the check engine light isn't on I would suspect the vehicle is not going into fuel control and you should probably have it checked out

yes, a faulty o2 sensor will tell the computer that the engine is running lean, therefore giving the engine too much fuel. this will cause a rich condition, and will definitely blacken the plugs. there are other things that will cause this, 02 sensor is just one possibility

It could be your temp sensor unit telling your engine its cold when its not, that would cause your engine to run rich.

no.it would be the problem that caused you ox.sensor to light that causes that.Proably dirty injectors causing air/fuel or possibly cold start injector. If it's dry black,I wouldn't worry to much.
