Yes... definitely Hot Springs is a wonderful place for a honeymoon. Very nice quite town and only about four hours away.. It is a beautiful place with great people, a wonderful place for a romantic high through the national park, take a dinner cruise on Lake Hamilton, and stay at the Arlington Hotel or a nice bed and breakfast and be pampered in the thermal baths and a couple massage.

Check out the link below to learn more. You will love it.. One of my favorite places.

Sante Fe, NM (12 hour drive) http://santafe.org/Visiting_Santa_Fe/

is great if you enjoy art, food, mountains, adobe, and a night life - interesting place. Run up to Taos and on the way shoot the river rapids for fun. Look up a place called 10,000 waves for a private outside hottub and/or message. http://www.tenthousandwaves.com/

South Padre Island (10 hour drive) surf and sand. http://www.sopadre.com/

New Orleans (7 hour drive) I think most of the tourist stuff is active but I am sure there is a residual mess still there otherwise.

Memphis, TN (6 hour drive) has some great restaurants and some great music, the Mississippi. The Drake is a classic hotel in downtown.

Hope this helped. Congratulations!

I have a great place for you. Very Romantic!! Hot Springs, AR. It is about 4 hours from Longview. Stay in the Arlington Hotel and enjoy all that the "Spa City" offers.
