Can Neon Tetras live in those small pet carrier containers? This is how the container looks like except it is smaller. http://www.petco.com/Shop/petco_Product_R_94_Nav_1_N_0_Ntt_fish%20carrier_sku_119512_familyID_5914.aspx

I wanted to know if my 2 Neon Tetras can live in a container like this because I just bought them from Walmart and my other fish were attacking it. I put the 2 Neon Tetras in my 5 gallon fish tank and the other fish started attacking. I can't return the fish back to Walmart. Is there anything else I can put my Neon Tetras in? I don't have any other fish tanks to put them in. I really need some advice.

The fish that I have in my 5 gallon fish tank are:
Clear Glass Fish
Tiger Barbs
Platys

My 2 Neon Tetras are in a small and clear container right now.

Try buying these $10.00 fish tanks at Walmart. It is a 1 gallon fish tank with a filter and everything. Just add your fish, water, and decorations.

Your five gallon tank is severely overcrowded already. You need to get a larger tank (at least 20 gallons), or return nearly all of your fish. Cramped conditions cause disease, fighting, and death.

And no, neons can't live in that kind of container. They are also a schooling fish, which means they need to have five or more neons together. Five neons need about ten gallons, just by themselves.

You would need a small sponge filter, and some way to keep the tiny tank warm, as neons are tropical. Look into a rubbermaid tub to use as a larger tank if you can't afford a plain 10 gallon.

I would put them in a bigger container or fish bowl with at least an air-stone.

They could live in there if you add a filter and an air hose. they must have these things as well as food that is ment for them. Hope this helps you out.
