im not planning to commit suicide. Im just wondering.

2006-06-25 18:08:10 · update #1

im not asking for myself or somebody else i know of. It just came to mind.

My meaning of being truly happy or content in this context does not mean that the person is not suffering from any wordly unwholiness. Maybe he/she is not really rich or has not achieved what he dreamt off, but otherwise, it would seem maybe that in his own point of view, there is nothing more to move forward to, i e poverty cannot extinguished, other people's personal suffering is the result of their own wants or needs. Surely, he cannot do anything about that.

No. I've known three people who have committed suicide. It's a bad idea. There is always a way, a new opportunity or something we've not thought of that can improve our situation - and we're the only ones who can do it. Feel uneducated? Take a class. Sad that you never learned to dance? Take a chance and learn with a friend. Don't have a friend? Extend yourself to others and be what you desire. Living in poverty and want out? Save today - a penny, a nickel, a dime - anything! Save and go to the library and start reading books on financial planning. Do one secret thing each day to be kind to another person...

people who commit suicide do it for so many different reasons...i had a friend who commited suicide, but it looked like he had no reason. i think that some people who commit suicide but seemed so happy and content were really battling with a lot inside, they just didn't show it. letting people in is hard and so some people choose to hide behind a mask that looks real. a person who seems so happy, as my friend did, may be suffering. just consider what may really be going through the mind of the person who looks so happy. what are they really thinking? wishing? is it to be happy?to have a blank slate? to just want a quiet mind? it's hard to tell. maybe they want to join others they know who have died or also committed suicide. take a second look at these people who always seem happy. because, maybe they're not and maybe they need someone to see that without having to take off their mask.

THAT QUESTION PUZZLES ME,,,,
IF YOU OR (they) ARE CONTENTED AND HAPPY, WHY WOULD YOU ENTERTAIIN THE THOUGHT OF SUICIDE? UNLESS, BOREDOM, OR A DESIRE FOR UNHAPPINESS, THAT YOU CAN'T ACHIEVE WERE THE CASE, THAT WOULD BE REALLY TWISTED,

GOSH, AS I AM TRYING TO CONVEY FEELINGS HERE I AM GETTING CONFUSED, YOUR QUESTION DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME, I THINK
YOU SHOULD COUNT YOUR BLESSIINGS, IF YOU OR (THE PERSON YOU ARE SPEAKING FOR) ARE TRULY HAPPY AND CONTENTED, YOU EITHER
ARE JUST BEING SILLY, OR AS I RE-READ YOUR QUESTION --BEING TRULY HAPPY A VERY GOOD REASON TO COMMIT SUICIDE, DO YOU KNOW WHAT SUICIDE IS? YOU DO IT, AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE YOUR MIND, THAT IS.. YOU ARE ALL GONE,,, I WONDER HOW MANY PERSONS WHO HAPPEN TO READ THIS, FEEL LIKE I DO, A FRIVILOUS REMARK WHEN A MAJORITY OF THE WORLD IS SUFFERING AND HANG ON, TO HOPE, AND A BREAK AND A CHANCE TO AT LEAST EXPERIENCE CONTENTMENT, EVEN FOR A WHILE THEY WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL,
PEOPLE PRAY FOR SADNESS TO LEAVE, FOR A DAY TO COME WHEN THEY MAY WAKE UP, SMILE, NOT WORRY, NO PAIN, NO BAD NEWS, AND JUST NOT HURT, OR HEAVENS, IF THEY ARE REALLY BLESSED , THEY MAY HAVE A FUN DAY, RECREATION, ENTERTAINMENT, ATTENTION, SOMETHING OTHER THAN MISERY,, THAT QUESTION, IS RATHER INSULTING TO MANY WHO ARE EMPTY INSIDE, OR EXPERIENCING THEIR OWN PRIVATE HELL,,I WISH YOU COULD HAVE THE POWER TO PASS ON YOUR HAPPINESS AND CONTENTMENT TO SOME DESERVING SOUL

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DILEMA, OR HAPPINESS

If one is truly feeling happy, contented and fulfilled - as in having achieved goals, personal, emotional and spiritual - one may feel having lived a life that was full and rich, having gained whatever personal successes and having given back that dying would be acceptable - that's not the same as committing suicide - in fact, suicides are generally opposite in that they feel life isn't worthwhile which is why they are willing to go to the extreme of ending their lives.

There is never a reason to commit suicide. Even when life is at it's worst there is always help available. and if a person feels like having a contented and happy life is a reason to commit suicide i would question how happy and contented they were. I would suggest that talk to someone if they were having those kind of feelings.

Suicide is committed by those miserable or frustrated people, they think they are no longer happy and no hope of becoming valuable person as they become self-centered and they cannot stand with their personal failures in life! They have their own reason why, that enough is enough!Life is beautiful but not for everybody,we have different level of participation and the others are so weak to fight and surrender against all odds!

there are no valid reasons for suicide.
suicide is a cop out.
and if they are wanting to commit suicide because they are happy and content tell them to give away all they own, quit their job, leave their friends and loved ones and live on the street as a homeless hungry vagabond.that will give them a feeling for despair and hopefully make them appreciate what they have.
do you know how many people want to be truly happy and content, and here this bozos wanting to flush it all down the toilet?
me thinks they aren't as happy and content as they say.

No!

It may be possible to feel guilty for feeling happy and contented in life while others are much worse off. A better and more constructive solution would be to try to help others who do not have it so well in some way.

All life is a gift from GOD. Each and every person serves a purpose. I never experienced true inner peace until I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior.
We have no right to take our own life.

You should never commit suicide. Even if your happy and content. It breaks your contract with God. If you're happy and content, please try and make someone else's life happy and content. Then you have a wonderful purpose in life until the day you go "home".
