watching us raise there grandchildren, being amused by our stress and issues with the little darlings. We are going through what they went through.
That's part of it,
the other is they have enjoyed life loved lived learned and seen so much. survived it all! They are happy with life they have learned that all the heartache and pain in this world makes us stronger and that it builds character, it makes us who we are. They have learned to love and be loved, some the lucky ones have even learned to let by-gones be by-gones! That holding a grudge does not do any one any good.
This all in the opinion of a young at heart middle-aged women. I hope to God I can be as happy as a lot of our elders in society and be able to have the eyes of wisdom with the gentle glow of a life lived well.

Because they know they don't have enough time in their life to hate the world, they need to make the most out of the short life they have!

WHAT A SWET AND HONORABLE QUESTION.(WELL, I HOPE IT WAS FOR GOOD INTENTION) UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY IS HAPPY ALL THE TIME BUT I THINK THE BEST THING YOU CAN GIVE AGING PARENTS IS THE GIFT OF THEM KNOWING THEY RAISED YOU RIGHT (ACCORDING TO THEIR PLAN) AND TO LET THEM SEE YOU PROSPER,DO GOOD , AND THE PEACE TO KNOW IF THEY WERE GONE THEY LEFT BEHIND A WONDERFULLY CREATED PIECE OF THEM TO REFLECT THEIR HERITAGE AND BE A GOOD INFLUENCE FOR OTHERS. IT IS PEACE YOU WOULD BE GIVING THEM.
