That depends on your gender, are you male or female. The studies have found males and females have different symptoms for heart attacks.

Females may have what feels like bad indigestion, fatigue, shortness of breath, some numbness. They may have one or all of these symptoms and maybe a few more.

If for any reason you ever suspect that you are having a heart attack, best to call 911 and get checked. It could save your life.
Males have usually a gripping pain in the chest, shortness of breath and some numbness on the left side/arm.

The American Heart Association and other medical experts say the body likely will send one or more of these warning signals of a heart attack:

Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
Anxiety, nervousness and/or cold, sweaty skin.
Paleness or pallor.
Increased or irregular heart rate.
Feeling of impending doom.

From what I've read, the "initial symptom" for heart attack is pain in the left arm and chest area, plus unexplained sweating. Call 911 and quickly swallow an aspirin!

the onset is characterized by crushing, viselike chest pain that may radiate to the left arm, neck, jaw, or above the stomach, and it sometimes stimulates the sensation of acute indigestion or gallbaldder attack! You may feel nauseated, faint, anxious and often feel that death is imminent!! You may feel short of breath, rapid heart beat, and low blood pressure! If you feel any of these symptoms Please go to the Hospital! Don't wait until the last minute! You could have a blocked artery! Don't sit around, Please go to the doctor! Good Luck!

For a man its usually severe pressure on your chest. People say it feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest. Of course there's the pain that radiates out and up the neck or down the left arm.
