I have a favorite book every month or so. My library lets me take out 5 or 6 at a time. At least one of them is outstanding.
How can anyone that loves reading have a favorite book??You have to have about 6 million favorites.
But some good ones.. anything by Anne Tyler... anything by Anita Sheve..."Icy Sparks" by Gwyn Hyman Rubio..."Blue Angel" by Francine Prose..."The Dive From Clausen's Pier" by Ann Packer..."The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold..."the Devil In the White City" by Erik Larson... "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger... so many books, so little time

I have recently been reading sci fi -ish books.
I really liked 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell.
If your into those kinds of books there is a "young adults" novel called the House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, and another "young adults" novel is called The Goodness Gene by Sonia Levitin Dutton.
Usually "young adult" novels are really dumb, but these were actually worth reading.

My favorite book is "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury. He's such a fantastic author. He can describe a scene in words, and make it so vivid, that the picture in your mind is as clear as any movie, in fact better. I've always preferred the books over the movies. Read it, you won't be sorry!

I love Ender's shadow by Orson Scott Card. The entire Ender series is pure Magic! The Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind is also very good.

From Death Camp to Existentialism by Viktor Frankl. Frankl was a psychologist who survived Auschwitz. It's facinating reading - written not long after his release so all the memories were fresh. Moving.
