Right now I don't have any option to use the Yahoo! Messenger as it will not work right on my system. I am not sure why, but it just stops responding after a while. I removed it and cleaned out my regestry each time and then reinstalled the program only to have it happen again each time. So, I do not even have Yahoo! Messenger installed now. It is working just fine on my fiance's computer so it must be my computer and not the program. Odd, though, as it was working just fine. I know it isn't a bad file as I have cleaned out all orphaned and broken regestry keys, so go figure.

Anyway, this is difficult to answer. Each have features the other doesn't which I wish would be combined into one. I really like the sealth settings on Yahoo! Messenger, yet the MSN Messenger has better web cam clarity than Yahoo! provides with the exact same web cam. I also like how MSN contacts, hotmail contacts and my Outlook contacts are all basically assesable together. I can put a calender reminder in hotmail, and get a reminder via MSN messenger, my Outlook, hotmail or all three if I like. I really like the new interface of both Yahoo! and the new hotmail, or MSN live mail. Yet, hotmail is much easier to integrate into Outlook if I so choose to do so than Yahoo! mail is. Yahoo mail is still integratable but there is much more headache than with MSN Live Mail. Now, I like the Yahoo! Smilies and Audibles as well as the backgrounds much more than MSNs. They are easier to share too than MSNs. I think if the features I like about Yahoo! and MSN were all put into one I would hang these up in a heartbeat and use the new intergrated one. Then again isn't that just a fact of life, that you never get everything you want in one place? LOL

I actually have both, but I prefer Yahoo! Messenger only because more of my friends have yahoo. If I had a choice I would pick MSN because I like the options and the way it looks is more visually appealing to me.

I have both but like Yahoo much better as I'm used to it and much more comfortable with it- I think you can do much more when using this messenger than the MSN one.

I prefer Yahoo. I find that MSN tends cause problems on the pc - but that is more likely to do with my daughter accepting various files from her dodgy mates!

Yahoo has a friendlier interface and soon you'll be able to chat with users of MSN from Yahoo itself.

I use both, they are the same and in some sense, they are different. If you prefer any of them, you can stay with both, there is no problem. Has to do too, with what computer you have, I mean the "maker", it can be Microsoft Windows XP, or an Apple Computer. This changes things all over, because Apple is very different to Microsoft Windows XP, etc., etc., etc...Wish you the best .....................................Love
