#1 switch to firefox as your browser, it's free and has a built in popup blocker- www.mozilla.org

#2 get 'spybot search and destroy' (spybot.info) and 'ad-aware' (by lavasoft.com) and install and run them both weekly. Both are free, and also have paid versions...

Best of luck.

This is absolutely the best adware, spyware, virus and hacker cleaner I've ever used. I had the same problem and I was thinking I needed to change internet providers, email addresses and never get email again until I found this. It will cost you about $7 a month, but it was worth it to me. I ran Yahoo's scanner, and it said my computer was clean, then I ran Stop-Sign and it found 2 more viruses and 27 adware and spyware programs that Yahoo left! It will let you run a scan for free and you won't believe all the junk on your computer. (It won't take them out until you pay.)
Try it at:

Good luck!

yes that is called phishing (fishimg) and hopfully it will become illegal soon norton's 2006 was not made to block that I'm sorry to say but it is good at what it is meant to do! and I love mine, best program next to a spyware program that guards my computer in real time again phishing and popups-well you can easily X out of them and adware melware or spyware is no more with this program it cost $20 and can be downloaded at netscape.com but I insist you buy the full version cause it is the full features of the program the trial only guards from when you downloaded on the full version guards from there on and from there and back before it and removes nasties in the system

If you have Comcast, they have a spyware/adware scanner in their tool bar. I have that plus I have my popup blocker in Internet Explorer turned on plus the one in my McAfee Security Center enabled. That stops a lot of them and once a week, I scan with AdAware SE from www.lavasoft.com and it works fine. I felt that Spybot Search And Destroy was all right too, but a person told me that they think it has Spyware built into it. The Free AdAware SE program can be found also at www.downloads.com near the top of the page.

go to www.pc world.com and find tons of cleaners there for free just read the details about each one and click "download now". I use spydoctor and ad-ware se peronal for scanning. Also Yahoo has an Anti-spyware that is quite good, I have it on my toolbar. Also keep your pop up blocker on at all times and your problem is solved

Hey I just got rid of related problems with annoying pop-ups. Trust me, your norton 2006 and your adaware SE will not solve your problems.
For one check out this site: http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
very useful information.
I recomend:
"Hijack This" and "SmitFraudFix" very powerful tools, not to be used by any beginers, it will totally mess up your computer. If you need help feel free to contact me.
