Persia is probably the oldest civalization though little Persian heretige remains in the nations which are descended from Persia. Ehtiopia is probably the worlds most continiously inhabited area which developed a distinct culture beyond tribal identities. Egypt had a long running culture which survived invasions by Romans, Persians, Greeks, French, English, German and many other nations. Egyption culture however was mostly erased by Arabic culture many years ago. As a nation it has for long periods been parts of other empires so it really doesn't count.
China has one of the oldest cultures around. The biggest interuption was by Mongol invaders. As a nation even under Mongol rule it was China. Japan never quite conquered China. So as a nation China though it has been split and redrawn many times in it's history is probably the longest lived nation in the world. Culturally it is the only one surviving from those around at the time of it's inception. Eithiopia is probaly the 2nd oldest. Though there are pockets of Celtic culture which still have traces of life in them in remote parts of Ireland and Spain. The middle east saw most of it's native cultures erased and replaced by Islamic culture. Nations have risen and falling and the maps been redrawn time and time again. Civalization however has been in the middle east longer than anywhere else. So the middle east can claim the longest running civalization even though the culture has changed from external invasions a dozen times since then.
Greece and Japan also boast ancient cultures that have survived all invasions/attempts. Though not as old as a few others they are deffinitely worth mentioning. Reposted for draicon On Answers last month, was a great answer!

the more popular choices would be either in China(8000-10000bc), India(sunken city of Indian Coast 7,500 bc) or probably in the Middle East in Iraq or Iran where the old Babylonian and Mesopotamian empire had been set up. But according to the web search, the oldest civilization may be in Antarctica but this cannot be proven as yet because the natural disasters such as floods and the formation of ice could have destroyed or covered the evidence.
