Traditionally, the word "virgin" is only used for females. I don't know of any comparable nouns for guys but "celibate" is probably close enough. In more recent times, the word virgin has been applied to both girls and guys. I'm not sure that's technically correct but it works.

It's used for both!
And it can often be used for anything that's never been touched - the virgin forest, for example..!
Here's a list of definitions of the adjective 'virgin' -
1. Of, relating to, or being a virgin; chaste.
2. Being in a pure or natural state; unsullied: virgin snow.
3. Unused, uncultivated, or unexplored: virgin territory.
4. Existing in native or raw form; not processed or refined.
5. Happening for the first time; initial.
6. Obtained directly from the first pressing: virgin olive oil.
7. Zoology. Producing fertile eggs without copulating.
(Although I must admit that when I was a teenager, a virgin boy was normally called a w@nker by his friends - but that's not quite the same thing as a virgin...!)
