There is no set order, but you will need certain abilities to reach the keyholes in some worlds. If I remember right, HalloweenTown and Atlantica could be skipped entirely (I don't recommend it though). You can also see Snow White instead of Alice in the scene when you close the keyhole to Deep Jungle if Wonderland's keyhole wasn't locked. Generally though, I'd suggest doing the worlds in order of difficulty (with the exception of getting Thunder from the Colosseum, then beat Wonderland, then go back to the games at the Colosseum), and going back to find secrets when you get new abilities.

there is not particular order, although it makes it a little tougher going to a level with higher experienced heartless.
