If the food I order is supposed to be hot, and it isn't, I send it right back and tell them to stick it in a microwave for 30-60 seconds, and then reserve it, and I thank the waitress or waiter. This happens almost every time I order a hot beef sandwich with gravy this particular place I love their sandwiches, but it never comes "hot", barely room temperature?

Rarely. If I am truly not satisfied, I'll talk to the manager. Other than that, if I'm not happy, I just will never go back to that particular restaurant again.

When I get a plate back for the 2nd time (I am a chef) and the customer is a complaining scoundrel, I rub the food in the hair of my armpit , heat it, and re-serve it. Funny thing , any time I do that the other cooks start roaring in laughter and the waitress squenches her eyebrows as she serves it and I come out and pretend to the customer that I am sooooooo sorry and the customer eats every bite.

hahahhahahaha

I never have because I don't go out too often...I'm not too fond of non-intimate settings. But, if I had a problem with my food, I'd definitely send it back. I'm not going to pay good money for garbage.

I send it back if something is wrong with it, but believe there is a right way to complain, for example, it is not the waitress/waiter's fault, so why shout at them? I usually say "Excuse me I am terribly sorry to complain, but my chips are slightly cold (or whatever the problem is) and please may I have a new one? Thank you". I don't shout or make a scene about it though.

It goes back as often as it's bad. I sent the same plate back 3 times, one evening. Then I got up and went someplace else.

Only once in Vegas. The food was very salty and I mentioned to the waitress that I was unable to eat it after one forkful. She apologized and removed the plates and did not charge us for the meal. I tipped her five dollars.

I have maybe one time. If its really bad I normally just mention something about it and maybe take it off the check and grab a bite on the way home. Im not going to bug people
