Because by definition classic is a standard of excellence, Disney seems to produce excellent movies and thus considered classics. Additionally, a classic is something that is sometimes considered traditional and if anything the Disney movies have the same story line.

DIsney does short runs on video purchase. That means that it is available for 3-4 weeks and they pull all copies for 10-20 years and release it again as a classic.

Because all people who like fantasies, like Disney. That means, there are A LOT of people out there.
Disney likes to make become all of their movies classics because of marketing "strategies" for those people who are Disney-obsessive.
If you want a shorter answer, here it is: marketing purposes.

Because they're marketed and advertised that way. *chuckle* The folks at Disney would like all the movies to be considered "classic", but not all the consumers (like you and I) feel that way. There are only SOME Disney movies I'd consider for that honor, but definitely NOT all!

Not all of them. Like, the disney channel movies. They will never become classics. But things like Beauty and the beast...they are just brilliant!!!

Disney says they're "classics". I would say only a couple are considered true classics by movie buffs

The originals do... but the sequels tend to be really lame (i.e. 'Cinderella 2'? Give me a break.

Oh, and not all Disney films become classics. Ever heard of 'Song of the South'? Not many people have.
