Ok. I am very interested in hearing others answers to this question of babysitting. I have this cousin that I babysit for that has two small boys of the ages of 4 and six. This person works a good job and She gets paid good. The only thing She wants to pay me is $125 a month for Her two boys that is very hardheaded and don't like to mind. We constantly have to stay on them. Ok. One night I called Her and I left a voicemail because She wasn't at home. So, when She listened to the message, She called me back with an attitude. And every since I asked Her if She could pay me a little more than She is She haven't been calling or answering my calls when I call Her. What I wanna know is was I wrong for asking Her for just a little bit more money because I feel like I deserve way more than what I was asking Her for? Or was She wrong for catching the attitude and not wanting to pay me the correct amount that She was once paying my cousin which was $200 plus extra when She kept them extra?

First, I don't think it is wrong for you to ask for more money if think you should be getting paid more, especially in this circumstance where you know that the previous sitter was receiving more. I don't know how many hours you are watching her children for or where you live, but in my area teenage babysitters generally get paid about $5 -$6 an hour depending on how many kids and frequency.
As far as your cousins attitude, is it possible that she had the attitude because she felt you were calling her at work for something that could have waited? Or maybe she was just having a bad day? Either way the attitude was wrong, but could be explainable. Maybe you should look for other babysitting jobs that will pay and treat you better.
Good luck.

Get a real job and tell her tofind another person who will take care of her delinquent kids. Do you have to drive to her house? Gas prices have gone up. Just get a new job and give her your 2 week notice.
