What's the average bandwidth in your country?

If possible, please state the minimun and maximun bandwidth (internet speed) in your country. I heard China maximun is up to 50Mbps, not sure whether it's true. Singapore average is around 3Mbps.

In South Africa the maximum avaiable bandwidth to an individual is 1 Mbps (ADSL) and it cost a lot of money, though most people can still only afford 56kbps dial up connections.

Some countiers will soon offer 100Mbps internet to households, that is more speed than anyone i know needs.
