My sister two weeks before 13bday me one week after, and it wasn’t the present I wanted I thought I was dying! Its such a weird sensation and so uncontrolled and hard to deal with at first it can be agony don’t wish for it now but when it comes Ibuprofen removes all pain and a hot water bottle and dark lighting and chocolate and loose clothes for bloating and extra cover up for being really pale (but that does give you a chance to fake sick and get of school or if you have a good mum ask for the day off, and you get out of swimming) and there’s the pads or tampon dilemma and fem wipes and feminine spays and mood swings, love just don’t ask for it be happy and when it comes it come and it doesn’t go till your 50ties, sorry didn’t mean to scare yah its also means you can have kids and if only hurts a little (with pills) LOL sorry, talk to an female adult a parent, nurse at school, your perfectly normal it could be a few years yet enjoy it

Honey I was 15 before I started my period. I am 35 now and have to take a pill the first 10 days of the month so I will make sure I have a period every month. No need in worring till you are 18 with out a period. And as far as being the only one in the 8th grade that hasnt started....believe me...there are more that in your grade that hasnt.....they are just playing alone...so THEY want feel left out. But you will catch up and pass everyone on boob size to everything else...so be patient and enjoy not having the vistor visit you every month yet..........

I was thirteen and the second girl in my 6th grade class to get it, and believe me I was NOT happy about that :) Don't worry, you're still fine, some girls don't start until as late as 17! But that's fairly rare. Just wait, your day will come, and probably soon enough because around 13 is average. For now, enjoy not having to deal with it ;)

I think I was like 12 years of age when I had gotten my menstruation. It's nothing to worry about. Your day will soon come dear.

Don't worry, it will come. I was 12 when I started my sister was 13 when she started. Consider it a blessing for now. Every female is different. Some start later than others. If you're really worried, talk to a parent or another adult that your close to. But I'm sure you're fine. :)

I was 13 also - it just sort of showed up one day - in the middle
of the afternoon. Do you exercize excessively? are you
anorexic? sometimes certain health problems cause lack of
periods - if you are worried I would contact an OBYN and have
an exam to see if there is a physical cause. You should have
had a period by now .. worth looking into.

Good luck! :)

I got mine when I was 13. I know girls who didn't get theirs till they were 14 or 15.

Your body will start when it is ready. However if you are really concerned maybe your mum could take you to the doctor for a check up to make sure you are OK.

But hey - don't be in a rush - once they start you will wish they never did!

Hey there
above anything else,do NOT less this worry you because everyone is different. I was 12 but most of my friends didnt get them until they were in year 11 or year 12. My mum didnt get hers until 18 so dont let it worry you. Smaller size people tend to get them a litttle big later than larger girls
