which is better airgate or tailgate?

Well, if you like the look of the airgate and mileage is not an important factor for you then go with it. If getting maximum fuel efficiency is the most important factor then you need to go with your tailgate (or even better the shells that people buy to put across their beds). If you watch the show Myth Busters they tested the idea that lowering your tailgate improves gas mileage and found it was wrong. When your tailgate is up and you are doing highway speeds it forms an air pocket (you've seen this if you ever had a can or other debris in your truck) that helps your mileage.

tail gate. air gates look lame and you can sit on a tailgate.

Hi, With an air gate you get better gas milage. but not as sturdy!!
