The math doesn't lie. We know that 50% end in divorce - and if you ask someone who's divorced "how many years were good?" the answer is typically about 1/2 the duration of the marriage. So that means a good chunk of the so-called "good" marriages are headed for divorce, they're just not there yet.

Then when you factor in those marriages that stay together "for the kids" or "for the money" then you're left with a max of 1 in 4 marriages that are truly good, a MAX of 25%, so the real answer
is probably 1 in 5 which is only 20%. And if I look back on all the weddings I've been to over the years and think about who's still together, the 1 in 5 seems pretty accurate.

I am but we work at it. We make our relationship a huge priority, because we are young[30 approx] we have kids we work we have passionate hobbies we have friends we must make our relationship time important time or everthing else would be too hard. Working out how to deal with conflict and have a great sex life has been a good key to sucess and loving each other deeply and remembering that not matter what we have that together , and knowing the tools to keep it going.

I would say high 70%. But the main thing to remember that marriage is something you work at daily no matter if you are happy or not. When one of the two stop working, it is no longer a happy marriage.

I guess its much higher than those that are not happy. We only see the unsuccessful marriages. In television, in the radio, in everything, those that are always reported are the unhappy marriages. There are many happy marriages out there, just that they are just there. They are never heard because they are never complaining. They are happy with life. the reason why we think that most marriages are failures because that's what we only heard of. i am married and i am happy. please count me in.

I would say we can never define a percentage. It totally depends on the kind of relationship the pairs are sharing.

It becomes security and a warm feeling.
Kids become very important and are a real blessing.
As you get older, different things become more important and some things are less important. Marriage is a good thing and not just for yourself but for others around you. Life is more fun with two,.
