After giving 6 weeks notice at a NAPA Auto Parts Store before going to a VA Hosp. for surgery, I reported to work after 4 weeks recovery to find that I had been fired while I was in the hospital. It seems it is legal in the state of NORTH CAROLINA and there is nothing I can do about it. Except to beg people not to shop at a NAPA Auto Parts Store.

Yeah, I got fired once from a farm when I was a teenager. I was driving a tractor and it had problems starting in the morning, so the farmer told me to leave it on top of the hill so we could start it on compression. I drove it right up that hill and then - as I had always done for any other tractor I drove - I lowered down the front end shovel to the ground.

The next morning he called me screaming at me "how the ))(*)_(*^&(* do you think I'm gonna roll the )&)(*&)(* tractor down the hill with the &^*)&*()(* shovel jammed in the &*()&)(*& ground????

Never heard from him again.

Toodles.

I did once, in the past. You know, the past is to learn from, not live in. You are very wise to consider yourself better from the experience, maybe that job just wasnt your niche in the world, or maybe you made some mistake you wont make again next time.

yes, recently, because i wasn't making quota.

i can't tell ya the last time i felt so happy.
in the 4 months i worked there, i saw probably 20 people come through. they just stopped showing up, complained about the job constantly, it was lame.
bosses were neurotic and ineffective.

so i'm not stressing it!
good learning experience.

I was fired from my first job after about a week. The job sucked anyway, so I didn't really care.
