They have a sin problem. Romans 1: 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1: 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Romans 1: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

lol. well, if those are the only to choices, its how they are wired. I have a gay cousin and he is going through hell telling his parents, they are very embarrassed. I don't see why someone would go through that if they had a choice. And in NO WAY is it a mental illness. These people arn't mental in any other area, so why would they just be mental in the sexual preference area. Nah, that's not it at all.

And all of you who speak from the bible, well, you can just go to hell in my book. I'm a religious person myself but I don't see how these people are evil, possessed, sinners or whatever you want to call them. My cousin is very religious, goes to church regularly and has prayed his heart out to not be this way. So, whatever you say, but until you experience this first hand, don't speak on the subject!

No and no. I think it is an acquired taste. I watched too many recruiters trying to persuade young adolescent guys. Most of the lesbians I know point to crude, crass, or criminal behavior of heterosexual men. I haven't seen anything in the genetic studies, logically, a non-replicating gene is normally called defective and men mating men don't replicate. Considering the perverse things we tend to like, it isn't hard to figure that someone would come up with this one. BTW, in the 1800's "gay" meant being heterosexually promiscous. It will be something else in time, like wearing suits and ties in a hundred years maybe.

It's not a mental illness! It's just personal preferences!

neither- it's a choice. definitely hard to see in kids, when they are manipulated by circumstances. how many people that are gay now underwent abuse or trauma as kids? i haven't researched this, but i think that we, as reasoning individuals, can make decisions for ourselves and take enough control of our lives and preferences to decide what kind of lifestyle we want. are we really supposed to just submit to however we think we were born? if that's the case, then i guess half the world would be dead by now- conquered by illnesses or birth defects or whatever you want to call painful differences.

I think it's a fact of life.

In the Bible it mentions 3 ways a person can become gay ("eunuch" I believe is the word the Bible uses). One is they are born that way; another is society has made them that way (Mom dressing her son in dresses or some such I suppose); and I don't remember the third.

I think worrying about one's own sexuality is enough worry for any one individual and another person's sexuality is none of my business. (unless it becomes a criminal situation such as child abuse or rape, but that's applicable to all society not just homosexuals).
