I have a 20 year old daughter and I have never taken any kind of birth control or preventive methods and can not get pregnant again. I have severe menstrual cycles...cramping and such.... When I ovulate though, I have terrible pains down my legs, Drs. say I have ovarian cysts but only during ovulation. I am normal in every other way according to my physician and should be pregnant several times over by now but no results. I know it isn't my current husband because he has three other children and the other men I have had relationships with also have children...Does anyone have any advice on what I might try????? I have tried unbelievable positions.. standing on my head ...laying still for 5 minutes or more with my butt in the air...is this good advice or just getting out of control with desperation??? Trust me, you aren't the only one laughing!!

first thing first find out when you are ovulatingl there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

There is no evidence that elevating your butt after sex helps, but it can't hurt. Standing on your head is a bit more than would be necessary, though...

The fact that you have children and that your husband has children doesn't mean that either of you are fertile. You obviously both *were* fertile, but that doesn't mean you still are. Or you could each be fertile separately, but not together; this accounts for about a third of infertility, so it is pretty common!

I would strongly suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It has lots of *factual* information instead of all the old wive's tales...

check out this book called getting pregnant what you need to know now by niels h. lauersen and colette bouchez.
also have your thyroids checked if you havent already.
the book has a ton of info. and i think the only silly thing you have done is stand on your head as it does not work but try putting pillows under your butt for about 20 min or more
good luck

Try to see your Ob/Gyn Doctor ask if maybe their is any fertility medication that he can give you, also trying birth control pills to regulate ur period helps w/ovulation,and ease the cramping can also help for 2-3months, Have your husband checked for semen analysis it can be that his semen count is low, Try not to stress to much also, for pregnancy sometimes takes patience and time.

Tell your story to a new ob/gyn. There are medications that can help with the cysts. Keep trying new doctors until you find one that will listen!

Best of luck!
