TV has been around too long for one and only one TV show to be "the best thing that ever happened to television". Plus, what magazine? I'm sure that Time Magazine was not one of them. I doubt that US Business Weekly held as lofty a perch. Not that I would be overly impressed by their picks, either.

I could pick several shows that influenced TV far beyond itself. I Love Lucy, The Fugitive, All in the Family, Saturday Night Live, The Ed Sullivan Show, just to name a couple (The Fugitive-the 1960's original-being my personal favorite....Stephen King called it "the best show ever made for American television").

Buffy was definitely one of the best shows on TV. During the first five seasons, they had well rounded characters, innovative storylines, cool music and amazing writing.

Look at the episode "Hush" where they lost their voices for most of the episode, *that* episode got nominated for an Emmy for Best Writing. An episode where they hardly speak! That is talent!

I do miss it terribly :[

I very a lot doubt it, i imagine the actors and Joss Whedon have moved on besides the undeniable fact that they are already speaking about a Season 9 comic after Season 8 has finished, as for Ripper god in uncomplicated phrases knows!

No it isnt.
You are forgetting the shows of the 50's and 60's and the impact they made,
The best show to ever happen to television was "I Love Lucy"

I dont like it... its to played out. I like the ER , CSI, stuff like that. I guess Im more into the "more realistic" shows. I know that CSI is not how it really works but its based off real things. I know there are CSI people running around solving cases. Im not so sure that Sarah Michelle Geller(i think) is running around slaying vampires

I'm not actually a fan. But I do like Sarah Michelle Gellar. I've followed her since she was Erica's evil daughter Kendall on All My Children.

I disagree because I think Seinfeld is the greatest show in the history of television.

I agree with the guy who said Seinfeld. Buffy was lame and cheap.
