You should be able to in any state, alot people who don't drive get an I.D.. In fact in most states it is required. I live in TN and had to take my Mother to the Driving Test Center to get hers (she's Never had a Drivers License). It looks like a D.L. Call your local D.L. testing center they will help you. I'm wondering how did you not know your Drivers License was suspended and especially with them being suspended for 4 yrs! How long do you go without renueing not to mention with your insurance company-did they not contact you? None of it makes ANY since! I would be for checking why/how could this have happened...

State ID? No problem. You'll need to prove residency. You can only (legally) possess one driver's lisence from one state at any given time (this was designed cut down on people "shifting" between licenses to avoid revocation). If your Texas lisence is suspended, you will not be able to legally receive another license until after the suspension.

Yes. Anyone aged 16 and up can get a state ID - of course, you can't drive using it - but at least you can cash checks.

You MAY get the license in the other state, but sooner or later, you'll get it suspended by that state when your Texas record catches up to you. They DO check your Texas driving record. BTW, I don't know how OLD you are, but at the rate you're going, you won't live to see mature adulthood.

yes you can get a state id having an id has nothing to do with you being able to drive. any one can get an id, if i were you i would get one right away because if the cops stop to talk to you for anything and you dont have an id they can arrest you untill they know who you are.

Yes, it's against the law not to have a legal form of ID.

go to your local DMV and get an identification card. You will have to fill out new paperwork so that you can get an ID card. It looks the same as your license but it says IDENTIFICATION CARD.
