There was a rumor that they were taking spongebob off the air because he was gay. Maybe they were editing parts that led to those suspicions. More likely Nickelodeon needed more time for comercials, and cut down on spongebob time.

to mullify the fanatics who think that spongebob is teaching something he isn't (like he's gay--and even if he was, who cares? we don't learn to be gay from cartoons). Anytime a conservative says that a cartoon is in any way subtly teaching something liberal, then they call out the troops and demand that it be changed.
