Doesn't the sourness of the sour cream musk the sourness of the cream gone bad?

It goes bad, when I see little dots of blue mold on it. However, I wonder if that would even hurt me, since it is sour cream.:) However, I toss it out at that point. Check the expiration date and go from there.

If it starts looking like Green Cottage Cheese... You know it's going bad...

And it smells bad when it goes bad, even at the start. Sour cream really dosn't smell that sour....

Trust me, you'll know when you eat it.

Or, better, don't even TRY to eat it if it's more than a few days past its "best before" date.
