Depends on the styrofoam... If it's the peanut stuff, I've normally seen it come in big plastic packages that they get shipped to other factories in, occasionally those packages are in boxes...
If it's one huge chunk of styrofoam, they ship it in a wooden box, but that is the kind you buy for construction, not to ship other stuff in...
Styrofoam products (coolers) are normally shipped in cardboard boxes... And sometimes with styrofoam to re-enforce it..

Another hillarious question. Let me explain stryofoam is made and used to ship gnomes safely to various countries. When the gnomes arrive safely they pull the foam and resell it as packing.
