unfortunately, my husband's mother is the same breed. I just avoid the woman at all costs. fortunately, my husband agrees, but I don't know if yours will.

I doubt confronting her would help, if she is as childish as my mother in law, but you could try talking to her, tell her your daughter feels left out and it hurts her feelings. goodluck whatever you decide

I would try to rationally speak to my mother-in-law and explain how hurt my daughter is. Maybe she doesn't realize she is favoring the grandson ( however, i don't believe that to be the case, but you never know). If she doesn't care than you need to explain to your daughter there is nothing you can do or she can do to make her grandmother allow her to spend the night. You may also have your husband talk to her to explain his side, as she might listen to him because he is her son. Also, maybe try to get your daughter close to your parents. I hope this helps and good luck!

I would worry! Only the grandson can stay? Sounds wierd.

Tell your daughter that you really don't want her over at grandma's because she only likes little boys and you think that's weird. Maybe your daughter will tell your mother-in-law that, and maybe grandma will be offended--good, ask her how she likes them apples!

Favouritsm willl always happen, she'll grow out of it eventually when she's growing up.......trust me, my mom favours my sis most of the time.
I have learn to accept the fact when i'm in my college years..........( it actually takes some time for myself to realise)
