Personally, i think both the referees and the Dutch held a grudge against portugal, that's why Portual got so many yellow cards.

All right, I must admit you have made your point very clear!
Likewise your wording is quite sound.
Perhaps we must give it a second thought and
Elaborate the other way around as well
Really do you want to get it right?

Deco's second yellow card was ridiculous he was trying to give the ball back and the next thing you know the Netherlands player tosses him on the ground. The dutch at sometimes looked liked they didn't care about being sportsmen like especially after the first drop ball when Figo let the dutch player have ball expecting him to kick the ball out of bounds and that didn't happen leading to Deco's first yellow, since Portugal did the play before because of an injured dutch player you would expect the dutch to give Portugal a throw in but noo that didn't happen. The dutch were out to injure to Portuguese squad and that's not what soccer is about i call bull **** on the Dutch and ref for letting that **** carry on like that.

Yeah I kinda agree, Portugal got alot of yellow cards but the Netherlands did too. And there were a couple of red cards too. (Didn't they almost break the record??) But you could sorta see the grudge in the beginning. With Figo butt-heading that one guy from and then another guy from the Netherlands pushing a guy from Portugal after the ref turned his back. Either way I think Portuagal is a better team, and both had teams had very good chances. But Portugal had more and I think they're a better team in my opinion.

As a neutral supporter I think it was an excellent game. I think Portugal became angry when Ronaldo was injured by that dutch midfielder. Then the Portuguese midfielder handled the ball so stupidly that made things worse. I think that the referee is one of the strictest in the comp when he sent Deco off for holding onto the ball, really harsh.. All and all, great game...

I think Portugal resorted to cheap playing because they weren't able to win otherwise, they tried to get the dutch nervous and off their game, and they succeeded because the referee pretended not to see Figo's headbut. Figo should have been ejected from the game and suspended for the next one at least. Portugal should have played that game with eight players instead of nine.

No i think that it was a ill tempered game & the ref was right to show the cards, and i dont think you can argue any of the red cards. In caseof portugal i think the cards were unnecessary.
A seasoned professional like Costinha shouldnt have handled the ball like an amataeur.
Deco was wasting time which is a bookable offence.

the referee isn't bias. Figo started with the head butt and the game went to bad to worst. the dutch got many yellow cards also.
It/s a really pity, both team were great, they are not any more.

It should've more Red Cards if Figo sent off. He should have, I thought. Portugal had so many yellows cos their act , they were lucky only had 9 players, not all of them.

They wont win England w/o Deco. Yeah!! And I'm happy cos England wont face Ronaldo as well. Oh boy..oh boy..

I think the game was unfair. First they hurt one of the portuguese player on PURPOSE so he wouldn't play. Netherlands just played a dirty game. Portugal did to. But at the end the best team won.

The game was very fair. It was fantastic ~ the players were very unruly, and sadly they got what they deserve. It's a pity Luis Figo was not seen by the referee, he also could have been sent off quite easily.
